Downtime in Kaskkari

Making money on your downtime in Kaskkari is not like other places in Golarion. Because of the tight control over the city and market area, your hope of making money comes down to skill and time investment. Owning your own shop is limited to the lower end market, but you can find work in the bigger markets. Assuming you have the skill.

The Dari rules over the land, but the Market district is broken up between 4 house families. Each family pays a large sum of money to the Dari to keep control over these parts.

Domini Family

The Domini's own the high end market. Merchandise and services are often unique and expensive.

Koro and Xaraovia Families

These two families have control over the mainstream or bourgeois area. This is the largest market of Kaskkari. You can find affordable magic weapons, armor, ingredients, and services here. In order to find work, you must apply to one of the families.

Orthaki Family

While the majority of items sold here are not as powerful at the other markets, this area is still rather big due to the value. Finding a job here is much easier, but the profits are meager.

Low End Market

• Up front purchase price: 1,000gp. This covers the leasing of space, and hiring of staff and supplies.
• MINIMUM downtime investment: Putting in the minimum amount of time to keep the store running will require at least four full days a month. This work can be done in any order during that month (4 weeks). Doing the minimum amount of work does not require any craft or skill checks.
• Min Income: This will be rolled by the GM. Approximate monthly income is around 200 gp +/- 20%.
• MAX downtime investment: Any amount of time put in over the four days in a month will help make the store potentially more profitable. Profits will be genereated weekly based on the days invested and skill/craft rolls.
• Max Income: Approximate weekly income can amount to 100 gp +/- 20%.
• Warning: Failure to provide the mininum dowtime investment will lead to loss of the lease.

Middle Market - (Bourgeois)

Leasing is not available for this market, but you can apply to work for either the Koro or Xaraovia families if there is an opening. Interviewing requires a skill/craft check.

If you are hired, the income structure is much like the low end market without the up front leasing cost. It just comes down to time invested.

• MINIMUM downtime investment: Putting in the minimum amount of time to keep your employment will require at least five full days a month. This work can be done in any order during that month (min 4hr blocks of time). Doing the minimum amount of work does not require any craft or skill checks.
• Min Income: This will be rolled by the GM. Approximate monthly income is around 300 gp +/- 20%.
• MAX downtime investment: Any amount of time put in over the five days in a month will earn you more money. Profits will be genereated weekly based on the days invested and skill/craft rolls.
• Max Income: Approximate weekly income can amount to 200 gp +/- 20%.
• Warning: Failure to provide the mininum dowtime investment will lead to loss of employment.

High End Market

Thost most exotic and unique items are found in this market. High end services are also available. Employment oppurtunities are generally more available than the middle market. However, skilled artisans must demonstrate their ablities. A minumum skill rank of 10 outside of spellcraft is required.
